Invite and remove team members

Give colleagues their own login from Settings, and remove access when someone leaves.

Written by Andy Peters

Give colleagues their own Doorkeep login from Settings → Users. Every plan includes unlimited team members. Only the account owner can invite or remove people.

The Users tab in Settings, listing team members with an Invite button

Invite a team member

  1. Go to Settings → Users. The Team members list shows everyone with access.

  2. Click Invite and enter their details.

  3. They get an email invitation to set up their login.

You can invite people once your account setup is finished and you're on a paid plan.

What the badges mean

  • Owner: the account owner, who manages billing and the team.

  • Verified: they've verified their phone number.

  • That's you! marks your own row.

Being on the team is not the same as being on call

Inviting someone gives them access to the app. It doesn't put them on a Call List. Call texts and transfers go to the people on your Call Lists, so add teammates there if they should take calls.

Remove a team member

  1. In Settings → Users, find the person.

  2. Click Remove and confirm.

They lose access to the account right away. Their call history stays in Doorkeep for your records, and the owner can restore their access later from the same page. The account owner's own row can't be removed.

What to expect

  • Team members can see this page, but only the owner sees Invite and Remove.

  • An email address that already belongs to another Doorkeep account can't be invited.
